Tottenham boss sets club record after win against Manchester United

As per Squawka, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has taken more points from his first three league matches against Manchester United than any other Spurs manager in Premier League history.
The first win over United was Ange's second game in charge, where Spurs condemned United to a 2-0 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in August of 2023, thanks to goals from Pape Matar Sarr and an own goal from United defender Lisandro Martinez, despite it looking like it may have been Ben Davies' goal.

Ange's second game against United whilst in charge of Spurs was a trip to Old Trafford in mid-January, where Spurs came out with a 2-2 draw. They had gone into the break 2-1 down, but Rodrigo Bentancur scored a minute after the break, seriously putting United's record of never losing a Premier League game at Old Trafford when leading at half-time, which stands at over 300 games, under serious threat.
Nevertheless, Spurs could not find a winner, despite a serious team performance. Son also missed that game, having been away with South Korea for their Asia Cup tournament. Had the Spurs captain played that day, Ange's side may well have broken that long-lasting record, and have three wins against United in three games.
Then, finally, of course, that fantastic win on Sunday afternoon. The easiest of the lot. The 2-0 win at home last season was one of those games that could have gone either way, with United creating a fair few chances on the day. Not the case at all this time, as Spurs seriously demonstrated their superiority to their once-great hosts with a dominant display throughout the game.
Whilst some may see this as a cherry-picked stat, and perhaps it is, it is still very impressive from Ange. Jose Mourinho lost to United at the first time of asking, whilst Nuno lost his job after a 3-0 defeat in his first game against United as Spurs manager. Antonio Conte's first six months at Spurs were seriously impressive, and even he was condemned to a 3-2 defeat at the first time of asking.
It's looking good, mate.
