Tottenham anticipate huge Saudi offer for one of Ange’s best players

The Saudi Pro League is an emerging domestic league with aspirations to become one of, if not THE best league in the world. It is a long-term project, for sure, but it starts with intense work now. Some of the best players in the world, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Neymar are over in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately for Tottenham fans, one of Ange Postecoglou's best players could be next.
Tottenham anticipate huge Saudi offer for one of Ange’s best players
According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are braced for a "huge" offer from Saudi Arabia for the services of Richarlison. The report also claims that Richarlison has been offered a big salary increase to move to the Saudi Pro League, so he is currently weighing up his options.
In usual circumstances, this would be a difficult decision for Tottenham and indeed Richarlison himself. After all, the Brazilian attacker saw incredible progression last season, his first domestic campaign under the new manager Ange Postecoglou. However, Tottenham's transfer activity removes a layer of complexity from this rumoured deal.
In case you missed it, Tottenham are linked with a summer transfer window move for Dominic Solanke. The Bournemouth striker scored an impressive 19 Premier League goals last season, a record only topped by Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Erling Haaland. His closest competitor from Tottenham was their top goal scorer, Son Heung-Min, who scored 17.
Dominic Solanke is under contract for another three years, so the ball truly is in Bournemouth's court. While they will see this as a golden opportunity to make a serious profit on their most profitable asset, they will also not wish to part ways with him unless a miraculous offer comes in. So, the best case scenario for Tottenham might be to pay Dominic Solanke's £65m release clause.
Without a doubt, the huge offer Tottenham are set to receive from the Saudi Pro League for Richarlison could help them in their plea to sign Dominic Solanke, one of Ange Postecoglou's top transfer targets. Some offers which come in are simply too good to refuse.
Besides, the question remains - Why would Richarlison want to compete for a place in the starting with Dominic Solanke, anyway? Surely, this is only a losing battle and one which the Brazil international is better off avoiding next season.
Do you think Tottenham should sell Richarlison this summer?
