Tottenham vs Qarabag - Player ratings: Defenders

6 - Archie Gray

His youthfulness makes his flaws less noticeable. Tonight, he had both ups and downs, but overall, the feeling with Gray is one of optimism. He created danger with one key pass and showed flashes of quality. However, in terms of hard statistics, he contributed little else.

8 - Micky van de Ven

The best defender for the Spurs tonight. Solid, intelligent, and playing with composure and authority. He won all the aerial duels he was involved in (5) and completed 98% of his passes. A great performance in a very challenging context.

N/A - Radu Dragusin

He got sent off in the 7th minute. A terrible 'performance' from the Romanian, not even enough for a failing grade.

6 - Ben Davies

Solid, without standing out. He shifted from left-back to left centre-back and carried out his duties without much more to note.

6 - Destiny Udogie

No, Tottenham didn’t play with 12 men, but after Dragusin’s early dismissal, Udogie came on in the 12th minute, so there’s enough time to assess his performance. He did well, creating danger with two key passes and winning 3 out of 5 ground duels. However, he did lose possession six times.
