On Saturday evening, Luka Vuskovic and Alfie Devine were in action for KVC Westerlo as they took on Anderlecht away from home, in an important clash at the top of the Belgian Pro League table.

In terms of the starting XI - Vuskovic started in a new type of role, playing on the right side of a back three as Westerlo manager Timmy Simons made a tweak from the usual four-at-the-back setup. Devine, meanwhile, started the game on the bench in his first game since joining on a season-long loan from Spurs.

Anderlecht took the lead just nine minutes into the game, but one of Vuskovic's central defender partners Emin Bayram equalized from absolute point-blank range towards the end of the first half, and the sides went into the interval all square.

A debut for Alfie Devine at KVC Westerlo

At half-time, Devine was introduced for Josimar Alcocer to make his Westerlo debut.

On the hour mark, Vuskovic got his second goal in Westerlo colours, putting his side ahead with a header from around 10 yards out following a set-piece.

Just when it looked like they were on course for a huge victory, Anderlecht managed to grab an equaliser just six minutes from time, once again levelling the scores at 2-2 - and that is how the game finished. A good point for Westerlo, even in frustrating circumstances.

It was a solid performance from Vuskovic, even without the goal. The Croatian defender made 10 clearances, blocked two shots, made one interception and one tackle, as well as completing 4/6 long balls and creating a chance.

Devine's debut was pretty unassuming, though he did get stuck in and made three tackles in his 45-minute cameo.

This draw leaves Westerlo fourth in the Belgian Pro League. A win would have put them second in the league, though Genk and Anderlecht themselves do have a game in hand.

Next up for Vuskovic, Devine, and their KVC Westerlo counterparts is a home game against Royal Antwerp next Saturday, with kick-off being 17:15 BST, 12:15 ET.
