Tottenham Hotspur’s Croatian loanee Luka Vuskovic played his second game on loan at KVC Westerlo, and it certainly wasn’t without incident.

Vuskovic doubled Westerlo’s lead with a bullet header from a corner on 36 minutes.

But his game was to be shortlived, as the central defender was substituted at half-time because of a reported shoulder injury.

Typically, the injury was apparently sustained scoring the header.

The 17-year-old felt pain immediately but tried to play on through it. He was able to last 9 minutes until halftime, but no longer than that.

Westerlo were 2-0 up at half-time, when Vuskovic was withdrawn, and ended up winning the game 4-2. Zero goals were conceded in 45 minutes with Vuskovic, and two goals conceded in 45 minutes without Vuskovic.

Per SofaScore, Vuskovic made 4 clearances, did not commit a single foul, completed 37/37 passes, and completed 2/2 long balls. All in 45 minutes of football.

According to Football Wonderkids, Vuskovic now has 4 goals in his last 14 starts as a player, owing to his incredible aerial dominance in the box.

The scariest thing is, as this account points out, is that Vuskovic is still just 17. He could still continue to grow for another few years.

The 4-2 victory puts Westerlo at the top of the Belgian Pro League, with 7 goals scored in 2 games. Westerlo still haven’t conceded in the 135 minutes Vuskovic has been on the pitch for.

If the injury sustained is nothing serious, and let’s all hope it isn’t, Vuskovic’s next game will be against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise next Saturday: 5:15pm kick-off UK time.

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, part owned by Brighton & Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom, were Champions last season and are partaking in Champions League qualifers this summer, so it would be a great test for Vuskovic if he is to pass fit to play.
