For the first time this season, there was a full midweek slate in League One, meaning that Spurs' young loanees were in action. Matthew Craig's Barnsley side were in action at home to Wycombe Wanderers, whilst Josh Keeley and Jamie Donley's Leyton Orient side were up against Exeter City at home. Let's take a look at how things shaped up for them.

To begin up in Yorkshire, it was a dramatic game for Craig and his Barnsley counterparts, with all the chaos coming in the second period after a goalless first half. Their visitors took the lead just two minutes after the break before Barnsley equalised after 58 minutes.

With just five minutes of regular time left, Wycombe took the lead and looked to be heading home with all three points. However, after Saturday's late sucker punch, it was Barnsley's time to score late, doing so with just one minute of normal time remaining. Despite a late melee from a set piece, Craig's side were unable to find a winner and had to make do with a point.

Craig did play the full 90 minutes, though, in encouraging news. The midfielder has now started eight of Barnsley's nine games in League One so far this season, having missed their second game of the season through injury. That too and 45 minutes against Manchester United at Old Trafford - it has been a fruitful loan so far.

This result leaves Barnsley 7th in League One, one place above their evening counterparts. Next up is a trip across Yorkshire to face Huddersfield on Saturday, kick-off is 12:30 BST.

As for Leyton Orient, it was a very tough evening all round. The O's were condemned to a 1-0 defeat in their home game with Exeter. Josh Keeley was not in the matchday squad, despite doing so for the first time in their previous game. Jamie Donley came on as a substitute with 28 minutes to go but was unable to make a significant mark on the game #.

Next up for Orient is an away trip to Lincoln City in League One on Saturday, kick off 15:00 BST.
