Tottenham Hotspur face Leicester City tonight in the Premier League opener. The two sides who have a rich recent history of providing great fixtures will lock horns in the final game of the matchweek. Tottenham are the clear favourites, despite being away from home. However, Leicester have been handed a psychological advantage today.

In the buildup to match-day, news had broken that Tottenham had agreed to sell Oliver Skipp to Leicester City. And that medical is now completed, courtesy of breaking news from Sky Sports. They published a video to social media, claiming that Skipp had officially completed his medical to become a Leicester City player and the transfer is set to become official. His fee, as reported by Sky Sports, is £25m.

It would be a surprise if the signing was announced today, particularly in the buildup to the fixture which is big for both sides. However, it is essentially confirmed that Skipp is set to become a player for Steve Cooper's Leicester City side.

Oliver Skipp joined the Tottenham academy from the Man City academy, so he benefitted from two state-of-the-art facilities. Promoted to the Tottenham first-team in 2018, Skipp has spent six years trying to make a name for himself in the Tottenham midfield. He was successful, playing a key squad role and making 77 Premier League appearances for Tottenham.

However, at this stage of his career, it is no surprise that he's looking to guarantee game-time elsewhere. Hopefully, he can achieve this at Steve Cooper's Leicester.

What is your favourite memory of Oliver Skipp in a Tottenham shirt?
