Tottenham midfielder set to depart permanently

According to David Ornstein, Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp is to have a medical at Leicester City ahead of a permanent departure for a fee in excess of £20m
Ironically, Leicester are who Spurs kick off their 24/25 Premier League campaign against on Monday night at the King Power stadium in Leicester.
Skipp has been at Spurs since he was eight, joining the club back in 2008. He played 106 first team games for Tottenham Hotspur, but a cameo at Sheffield United on the final day of last season appears to be the final one.
His previous experience away from N17 was a successful season long-loan at Norwich City, where he helped them to the Championship title, playing 45 out of 46 league games.
The midfielder only started five league games last season, and with the Spurs academy graduate soon turning 24 - a move to go and play more regular minutes is exactly what he needs in his career right now.

It’s encouraging that Spurs seem to have a good relationship with Leicester when it comes to incomings and outcomings, making any future potential signing a bit smoother for Spurs to navigate.
Skipp briefly played for Leicester City manager Steve Cooper for England U17s back in 2016.
He would be joining fellow Spurs academy graduate Harry Winks in the Leicester midfield, as Cooper looks to add some steel to his midfield in what will be a very hard and long season.
Leicester, as well as being a newly promoted club, have a looming points deduction which could play a big part in deciding their fate this upcoming season.
Skipp filling in at left-back in the defeat away to Liverpool last May sums up how much of a “take one for the team” player he is, and you can be sure that he leaves with everyone’s best wishes.
