Saudi club to bid for another Tottenham player after Richarlison attempt
Tottenham Hotspur face the possibility of losing another first-team player. Giovani Lo Celso, who has struggled to secure a regular spot in north London, is reportedly drawing interest from various clubs, including a Saudi Arabian side and Aston Villa, according to Ole (h/t Sport Witness).
It wouldn’t be the first attempt by a Saudi club to sign a Tottenham player this summer, as reports have indicated for weeks that Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah were interested in Richarlison, with the latter now also showing interest in Lo Celso.
The Argentine World Cup winner has had a frustrating time at Tottenham, starting just four Premier League matches last season and making 18 more appearances from the bench.
His limited role under head coach Ange Postecoglou has led to speculation about his future, with the 27-year-old eager to secure a move before the transfer deadline on August 31.
Lo Celso's situation is part of a wider summer shake-up at Spurs. Postecoglou has overseen a significant squad overhaul, with several players departing. Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon, Joe Rodon, Troy Parrott, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal, Bryan Gil, Alejo Veliz, Dane Scarlett, and Oliver Skipp have all left the club, either through sales or loan moves.
In their place, Tottenham have brought in Archie Gray, Dominic Solanke, and Wilson Odobert. Despite these new additions, the club are still contemplating offloading a few senior players before the transfer window shuts.

Sergio Reguilon, for example, is reportedly linked with a move back to Manchester United, where he could fill the left-back position.
Lo Celso’s potential departure is noteworthy given his previous success at Villarreal under Unai Emery, who is now keen to bring him to Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Saudi side Al-Qadsiah are also in the running, showing interest in signing the midfielder.
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Lo Celso is keen to leave Tottenham, and the club are likely to facilitate his exit if a suitable offer comes in.
The player’s technical ability and work rate, praised by Postecoglou, indicate he could be a valuable addition for any club willing to take him on.
With the transfer window drawing to a close, Tottenham will be focused on finalising any outstanding deals and making the most of their squad changes.
For Lo Celso, the coming days will be crucial in determining his next destination, whether it’s a move to Saudi Arabia, a return to the Premier League with Aston Villa, or another opportunity elsewhere.
