Ange Postecoglou has provided a Richarlison injury update. Unfortunately, it's not looking good for the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

Ange Postecoglou spoke to the media recently. As always, he was his not-so-happy-go-lucky self.

When asked about Richarlison and how his injury is looking, Postecoglou's response seemed annoyed. Understandably, he is sick of answering questions about Richarlison when there is no update.

According to Standard, Postecoglou said: "[Richarlison] is a fair way off, I think you should stop asking me about him until I say I’ve got an update. He’s still not training with the first team.”

Richarlison Injury Update: Progress & return date for Tottenham striker

What injury does Richarlison have?

Since the Newcastle fixture, Tottenham have been rocked by the unfortunate Richarlison injury. The injury is unspecified, making it difficult for Tottenham fans to truly understand when he will be back in action.

Ange Postecoglou doesn't like to give much away on these matters. After all, he is simply the messenger, not the doctor himself.

Who can replace Richarlison at Tottenham?

Richarlison is a key player for Tottenham Hotspur and a player who could have provided sufficient backup to Dominic Solanke when he was injured at the start of this season. Last season under Postecoglou, the Brazil international showed increased hunger levels.

Now that Dominic Solanke is back in contention for Tottenham Hotspur, this means that the hole left behind by Richarlison's injury is not too detrimental. After all, Richarlison is second-fiddle to Solanke.

When will Richarlison return from injury?

Given Ange Postecoglou's comments about Richarlison not returning to training, it is difficult for him to assess when Richarlison will return from injury. This news will be released on Ange's commands only.

Hopefully, it will not be long before Richarlison is back. However, it is not in Ange Postecoglou's best interest to rush him back into action.

When he is ready, Richarlison will play. However, considering he is not even in training yet, there is still no reason to put forth a genuine argument for his Tottenham return date.

Will Richarlison be available for Fantasy Football?

So, this answers the immediate question of whether Richarlison will start against Brentford this weekend. The answer to that question is no. Instead, he will not even make the subs bench, since he has not trained with the team.

Therefore, it is worth removing Richarlison from your Fantasy Football team, if you have the resources to do so.
