Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert is set to be sidelined for around four weeks after picking up a thigh injury during Tottenham's clash with Coventry City.

The 19-year-old, who joined Spurs this summer, underwent initial tests on Thursday, with further examinations planned once the swelling reduces. According to reports from French outlet L'Equipe, the club expects Odobert to miss key upcoming fixtures.

This setback comes at a crucial time for Ange Postecoglou’s side, as Tottenham face a packed schedule of three games per week, including a major showdown against Manchester United next weekend. Odobert's injury means he will likely be absent for at least four matches, including two important Europa League ties.

If the timeline holds, the young winger could return to action by the latter half of October, potentially in time for Spurs' home match against West Ham or their Europa League fixture with AZ Alkmaar on 25th October.

In the meantime, Tottenham have several attacking options to fill Odobert’s role on the left wing. Club captain Heung-min Son is a natural choice, having already started in that position during Spurs’ recent 3-1 victory over Brentford.

Another potential replacement is Timo Werner, who could provide additional firepower to Tottenham’s frontline during this busy period.

Odobert’s injury is an unfortunate blow for the youngster, but fans and the club will hope he can return fit and ready as the team continues its push across multiple competitions.

Odobert's injury is a tough blow for Tottenham, especially considering the underperformance of players like Timo Werner. Additionally, the young Frenchman was just starting to find his feet at the time of his injury. We hope he returns soon and can quickly adapt to the team's dynamic, as the PSG academy graduate is undoubtedly one of the most talented footballers of his generation.
