The ever-reliable Paul O Keefe has kept fans in the loop on the Last Word On Spurs podcast.

O Keefe said that it will be Pedro Neto of Wolves, OR, Eberchi Eze of Crystal Palace.

He further said that Spurs have "spoken to people involved who could facilitate a deal" for Neto and that he is one they will definitely pursue.

O Keefe added that Spurs are now "really starting to pursue" Dominic Solanke and that the striker is itching to come to Spurs. £55m plus add-ons is what it would take to get the deal done.

According to O Keefe, Spurs still believe that they have got 3 deals they can do. If Solanke and one of Eze or Neto sign, it will be very interesting to see who the potential third player might be.

Neto is a player that is probably more of a need for Spurs. He is an out-and-out winger, and whilst Eze can play there too, he is definitely better a number 10.

James Maddison, despite his end to last season, is still a top player in that position and then you have the emerging Lucas Bergvall there too.

However, Eze is consistently more available than Neto, who often missed large periods with recurring injuries. Availability is the best ability as they say, and Spurs will know only too well from last year how injuries can derail a season.

In terms of outgoing (that will not happen), O Keefe said that Real Madrid approached Spurs for defender Cristian Romero in the early part of this year.

Levy quoted them £150m for Romero, and Los Blancos have now backed away from a deal, so that sort of talk can now be fully flushed away.
