Manager sacked by Tottenham set to confirm his exciting new job
By Kian Long
Tottenham Hotspur have seen some truly incredible managers over the last ten years. However, the one who sticks out for all the right reasons is perhaps the manager with the least credentials when he first joined Tottenham; Mauricio Pochettino.
Poch managed Tottenham between the years of 2014-2019. To date, this is the longest tenure the Argentine has ever committed to one club. It was a long-term project which Poch was best-placed to achieve in North Lodnon.
However, unfortunately, his Spurs tenure ended in a poor manner. The season after leading Tottenham to the UEFA Champions League final, Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham.
It is likely a decision the club regrets, since the likes of Nuno Espirito Santo, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte failed as Spurs manager afterwards.
Manager sacked by Tottenham set to confirm his exciting new job
Mauricio Pochettino is set for his next managerial adventure, though. It's an exciting adventure too as he is expected to become the new manager of the USMNT. However, at this stage, his appointment is not yet confirmed officially.
According to a report from Daily Mail, which quotes Fox Soccer, Mauricio Pochettino is set to be confirmed as the new manager of USMNT (United States Men's National Team), after successful meetings with the Soccer Federation directors.
Mauricio Pochettino is a head coach who prides himself on his impeccable man-management approach and his ability to tailor development plans, most notably to younger players, based on their own individual needs.
The beauty of Poch's approach is that his style isn't "one size fits all" and instead, Poch appreciates and embraces the need to tailor his approach to meet his individual players. This comes as a result of building close relationships with his players.
Despite managing Chelsea, there doesn't appear to be bad blood between Tottenham fans and Poch, it would be quite nonsensical if there was considering the great period Poch managed in. Of course, it wasn't his decision to leave Tottenham, after all.
Regardless of winning no silverware, Poch won the hearts of Tottenham fans. He also gave the club a reason to believe again, setting great foundations at the club and leaving them with club legends such as Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Any Tottenham fans from the United States will know exactly what Pochettino plans to bring to his new role. But anyone who is unfamiliar with Poch, rest assured, you WILL get to know.
