According to Sporx, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho wants another reunion, with the Portuguese manager personally approving of an unwanted midfielder; Giovani Lo Celso.

Recent reports have suggested that Mourinho is interested in reuniting with another unwanted Spurs player as he reportedly tries to bring Sergio Reguilon with him to Istanbul.

It is clear that the Argentine midfielder has no future at the club, and the 28-year-old has been linked with Aston Villa and former club Real Betis this month.

Fenerbahce don't have the same financial clouts as clubs in Western Europe, particularly the Premier League - but with the midfielder having only one year remaining on his contract, and being completely unwanted by the club - a deal for a fairly modest fee could be struck.

The Turkish giants will play in the Europa League in the 24/25 season after conceding a late goal to reported Spurs target Jonathan David in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier.

As a result, we could see Spurs play against Mourinho's Fenerbache in the Europa League, in a game that could feature Reguilon and/or Lo Celso.

Spurs have done a fair bit of business with Turkish Super Lig clubs recently, with Davinson Sanchez joining Fenerbahce's fierce rivals Galatasaray on a permanent deal last summer. Tanguy Ndombele also spent last season at Galatasaray, on loan, but it didn't work out and the French midfielder is still a free agent after having his Spurs contract terminated one year early.

Fenerbahce's side is full of former Premier League players, such as Edin Dzeko, Dusan Tadic, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Caglar Soyuncu among others.

As touched on above, the Turkish Super Lig has come in clutch in the past in terms of helping Tottenham Hotspur offload their deadwood in the past, and here is hoping that history is able to repeat itself at least once with Lo Celso and Reguilon.
