Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to send Monor Solomon on loan to Championship side Leeds United on a loan deal. Fabrizio Romano has since confirmed that, despite a Dutch club attempting to hijack the deal, Solomon has completed his medical in Leeds and he will sign in as their new player for the season ahead.

With three days remaining in the summer transfer window, Tottenham fans expected the Tottenham transfer news to heat up.

Spurs have made some stellar signings but there remained some players who were simply surplus to requirements, Manor Solomon being a glaringly obvious example.

That said, with Manor Solomon on the verge of joining Leeds United on loan, what did Fabrizio Romano have to say on the deal?

Posting an update to X (formerly Twitter), transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that after completing his medical, Manor Solomon is now a Leeds United player, on loan from Tottenham.

Romano also claimed that an unspecified side from the Netherlands (reading between the lines, it was Ajax) attempted to hijack the deal, but they were unsuccessful.

Further details of Manor Solomon joining Leeds United on loan are provided by Evening Standard. They claim that the loan move is a season-long loan, and from Leeds perspective, there is no option or obligation to buy.

This leaves the power in Tottenham's hands, since they can charge whichever fee they would like, should they wish to sell Solomon after his loan deal.

Manor Solomon is under contract at Tottenham Hotspur until 2028. However, if we are being frank, his future in a Tottenham shirt looks bleak.

Slowly but surely, Solomon has fallen down the pecking order. With new arrivals set to improve the Tottenham attack, it is now more unlikely he will make it in North London.

Therefore, Manor Solomon must surely be considering his time at Tottenham limited. If Ange Postecoglou saw anything worthwhile in him, Solomon would not be loaned out to the second tier of English football.

Do you think Manor Solomon has a future at Tottenham?
