Could Tottenham land this Manchester City defender?
Tottenham Hotspur might be in for some big changes at full-back this summer, but the latest buzz about bringing in a Manchester City player doesn’t seem to hold water.
Outlet football.london has reported that the buzz around Tottenham's interest in Issa Kabore, currently on the books at Manchester City, is not based on concrete evidence.
Kabore, who spent last season on loan at Luton Town, where he impressed many with his performances, was linked to Spurs as a potential target.
This speculation intensified following a post from journalist Mike McGrath, who suggested that Kabore could be a leading candidate for Tottenham if they decided to sell Emerson Royal. McGrath noted that Kabore could be available for around £12 million.

Despite these rumors, football.london has dismissed the idea that Tottenham is actively pursuing Kabore. The primary focus for Spurs at the moment is evaluating their current full-back options, particularly after Djed Spence’s promising pre-season form.
Spence seems to have secured his spot in the squad, and with Pedro Porro already established as the first-choice right-back, the need for a new signing in this position appears less pressing.

As things stand, Emerson Royal is still part of the Tottenham squad, but his future is uncertain. There have been ongoing discussions about a potential move to AC Milan, which could be finalized soon.
If Royal departs, Tottenham’s current right-back depth with Porro, Spence, and new signing Archie Gray seems sufficient, reducing the immediate need for additional reinforcements in this area.
The focus might shift more towards the left-back position, where Tottenham currently relies heavily on Destiny Udogie. With only Udogie as the primary option on the left side, a new signing in this position could be more beneficial for the squad.
It looks like the talk about signing Issa Kabore was more hype than reality. Tottenham's full-back situation seems pretty solid with their current players. Any future moves are probably going to depend on who leaves or if injuries pop up.
Right now, it seems like focusing on the left-back spot might be more important than adding another right-back.
