Argentine outlet Pasion Futbol report that Boca Juniors are worried about losing highly rated prospect Kevin Zenon, with Spurs reportedly one of the clubs interested in his services.

Zenon joined Boca from Santa Fe earlier this year and has come on leaps and bounds since - which has resulted in interest from Europe for his signature.

Recently, Boca Noticias were the first to link Spurs to the 23-year-old, suggesting that the club had made contact to enquire into the player's availability. The aforementioned Pasion Futbol have now also said the same, reporting that Spurs and a number of other clubs have been in contact.

They go on to say that club president, the Argentine football legend Juan Roman Riquelme, "is aware" the player can leave for England, and that he "can lose" his talisman soon. Fellow Premier League side Newcastle United are also interested in Zenon, and both clubs would be happy to meet his £11.4 million pound release clause in his current contract.

So, who is this potential target? Zenon is a versatile wing-back, who is left-sided by trade (and left-footed) but can also play on the right, and has experience there too. His scouting report says his main strengths are high pressing and playmaking, whilst his main weakness is ball control. The high pressing would certainly bode well for a player in Ange Postecoglou's side.

In this season's Liga Profesional de Futbol, Zenon has started eight games, creating sixteen chances and two big chances so far.

He would join compatriot Cristian Romero and fellow Latin American Rodrigo Bentancur at Spurs, two players who also debuted in the Liga Profesional de Futbol, with Bentancur also playing for Boca Juniors in the early part of his career.

Spurs have long since needed some cover for Udogie. Despite an impressive performance from Spence, who could deputise there, against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup, the club could still do with some more natural, left footed-cover for their Italian full-back. We will see if Zenon becomes that man.
