Tottenham Hotspur had a good summer transfer window. They strengthened in key areas and made some statement signings for the future. Thankfully for Tottenham fans, Ange Postecolgou has hinted this momentum could continue in the January transfer window.

In the summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur signed Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert, Lucas Bergvall and Min-hyeok Yang. So, a nice mixture of first-team staples and future prospects.

Despite Tottenham's poor start to the season, fans cannot complain about the club's summer spending. They needed a strong summer and they had one. Now, it is on the players to perform for the club.

That said, what has Ange Postecoglou had to say about Tottenham's transfer plans for the January transfer window?

As per TEAMTALK, Ange Postecoglou and the Tottenham recruitment team are already working on a plan for the January transfer window. In his own words, Postecoglou said: “You always do [plan ahead to January]."

Continuing, Postecoglou said: “[Technical director] Johan [Lange] and his team now have already started the process of looking at guys who maybe fit that profile of what we’re looking for... It’s a constant process and it has to be that way. I’ve never done knee-jerk or a ‘hail Mary’ approach to things."

So, Tottenham fans can rest assured that Ange Postecoglou is already looking ahead to the January transfer window. Not only could new signings be made, but they will be the necessary signings and not products of panic-buying.

Given how poorly Spurs have started this Premier League campaign, the January transfer window could be a key turning point for their season.

In the opening three Premier League matches, Tottenham have won one, drawn one and lost one. Not great for a team who wishes to finish in the top four.

After the September international which will now occur for one week, Tottenham host Arsenal in the first North London Derby of the season. Even pushing the league standings to one side, this is one fixture which Tottenham fans want to win more than any other.
