Next season, Tottenham will once again compete in European competitions, and this summer promises to be a busy one in terms of transfers.

In this article, we'll discuss three underrated players whom we believe would be excellent additions to Ange Postecoglou's squad.

3 underrated players Tottenham should sign this summer

1. Santiago Hezze

At just 22 years old, this Argentine midfielder recently clinched the UEFA Europa Conference League title with Olympiacos under the guidance of Basque coach José Luis Mendilibar. Hezze was undoubtedly a key player in this victory.

With his ability to carry the ball, goal-scoring prowess, and skillful passing, he proved himself as an indispensable starter for the Greek side, which secured its first-ever European title. Despite playing in a league that might not command high market value, Hezze's undeniable talent suggests a bright future ahead, with the potential to excel in elite football leagues.

2. Junior Dina Ebimbe

Another young talent at just 23 years old, Ebimbe, a product of PSG's youth academy, joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the 2022-2023 season before making a permanent move to the German club. What sets Ebimbe apart is his remarkable versatility.

Capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, or even as a right wing-back, he has demonstrated his adaptability and skill across various positions. In his first season with Frankfurt, he boasted high duel success rates, defensive contributions, expected assists, dribbling ability, and crossing accuracy.

Although his second season was slightly quieter, his proficiency in aerial duels remains impressive. Ebimbe's youth and multifaceted skill set suggest he could thrive in a higher-caliber club environment.

3. Jonathan David

While some may argue that Jonathan David is both underrated and overrated, we'll view him through the lens of being underrated. At just 24 years old, the Canadian striker boasts one of the highest non-penalty goal ratios.

In the recently concluded 2023-2024 season, David started 30 games in Ligue 1 for Lille, scoring 19 goals and providing 4 assists—an impressive contribution of 23 goal involvements in 30 starts.

This level of consistency is not new for David, as he scored 24 goals and provided 4 assists in 36 starts the previous season. With a knack for finding the back of the net, agility, and youth on his side, there's little reason to doubt David's ability to thrive in a more competitive club environment.
