3 free agents that could be of use to Tottenham
By Tom Vinall
Number 1 - Adrien Rabiot
Adrien Rabiot has just left Juventus after 5 years in Italy. Rabiot started off his career at PSG, before swapping Paris for Turin in 2019. Rabiot is a tall, strong midfielder, capable of carrying the ball forward and helping to control the game.
He is also a tenacious player who likes to get stuck in and be physical. He has been a big part of the France side over the past three tournaments, assisting Mbappe's second goal in the famous 2022 World Cup final.
His wage demands could be high, however, and it is often the case that free agents ask for bigger wages as a result of not commanding a transfer fee. His agent is also his Mother and has a reputation for being a pain to deal with, so it could be something that Spurs want to avoid.
Number 2 - Memphis Depay
Memphis Depay has just left Atletico Madrid after 18 months in the Spanish capital and is seeking a new adventure. His minutes per goal record in Spain over 3 years at FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid was not actually too bad.
In his 3 seasons in Spain, his minutes per goal ratio was; 154, 79, and 179. Of course, caveated by smaller sample sizes but he is a player who knows where the net is. He has 46 goals in 98 appearances for the Netherlands, putting him only four goals behind Robin Van Persie's record.

Number 3 - Kelechi Iheanacho
The most left-field shout of all 3, but hear me out. Despite losing his way a bit over the last couple of years, Kelechi Iheanacho often showed Leicester what he is capable of. Even in the 22/23 Premier League season, the Nigerian forward put up 10 goals and assists in just 11 starts.
In the 20/21 season, he had 12 goals in just 16 starts. He also brings more than just goals, he is capable of dropping deep and linking play, owing to such capabilities he is also able to play as a number 10.
Two big positives are that he has 1) played with James Maddison for four years, so they would already have an understanding that wouldn't take long to perfect, and 2) as he joined Manchester City as a 17-year-old, counts as a homegrown player, a field that Spurs need players in.
