3 English transfers which would elevate Tottenham Hotspur into serial winners
By Kian Long
Ange Postecoglou has his work cut out for him in the summer transfer window. The Aussie boss has made no secret of his desire to instil a winning mentality into the squad, so the summer presents a golden opportunity for him to achieve that objective. That said, here are 3 English transfers which would elevate Tottenham Hotspur into serial winners.
3 English transfers which would elevate Tottenham Hotspur into serial winners
1. Dominic Solanke
While Son Heung-Min has done an adequate job of scoring goals for Tottenham Hotspur this season, it goes without saying that they require an out-and-out striker to replace Harry Kane, who left LAST SUMMER.
Son scored 17 goals last season, a tally which was topped by AFC Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. Therefore, it is no surprise that Tottenham have shown a keen interest in signing Solanke, to finally fill that void at number 9
It is repeated like a broken record but it's true - The missing piece of the puzzle is a goal-scoring striker. Needless to say, given that Solanke scored 19 goals for Bournemouth last season, he would be eager to break that 20 mark at Tottenham.
2. Conor Gallagher
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Conor Gallagher for the longest time but it is clear to see why. The English midfielder has shown improvement every single season and the season just gone was by far his best.
Gallagher has been Chelsea's diamond in the rough and played as one of their best players under Mauricio Pochettino. Now that the Argentine is departing the club, Gallagher could benefit from a step-up in his career. Playing for Tottenham, who will compete for top-four football next season, is the logical step-up from Chelsea.
Showing leadership qualities and great dictation of play, Gallagher could elevate Tottenham's midfield into serial winners.
3. Jarrad Branthwaite
It would be nonsensical to not include a defender in this list. After all, Tottenham's defence was woeful in the 2023/24 season, so they need to invest in this position come the summer transfer window.
Thankfully for Ange Postecoglou, a golden opportunity has presented itself in the form of Jarrad Branthwaite making his strides at Everton. Playing as one of the best defenders in the league, Branthwaite is a breath of fresh air in the way he goes about his defending. Shades of traditional English defending, while possessing the ability to play out from the back, he would be perfect.
Who do you think Tottenham should sign in the 2024/25 summer transfer window?
