On Sunday afternoon, Spurs welcomed Fulham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, for match day thirteen of the 24/25 Premier League season.

For the task at hand, Ange opted for the following line up; Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Son, Werner. Dominic Solanke was not in the match day squad, whilst Dejan Kulusevski was named amongst the substitutes.

Tottenham are held at home by ten man Fulham in a 1-1 draw

Essentially, Spurs were without half of their first choice XI - Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kulusevski, and Solanke. Only Kulusevski out of those five would be available in the match day squad.

We had played barely a minute when Son missed an opta defined big chance, being denied by Bernd Leno from close range, after good work from Werner to get the ball to him.

After 36 minutes, Raul Jimenez should have opened the scoring for the visitors, seeing his effort saved by Forster when well placed.

That was about it for the first period. That first half certainly happened. For sure.

Five minutes into the second half, Spurs were again let off the hook, as central defender Issa Diop missed a big opportunity from a set piece.

Four minutes later, Spurs had the lead. A superb cross from Werner was met by Johnson at the far post, who fired home. The same combination for the fourth goal at Manchester City last weekend.

However, midway through the second half, Tom Cairney equalised for the visitors, and Spurs were up against it if they were to get all three points here. Ange responded by introducing Kulusevski for Werner.

With around six minutes of normal time left, goalscorer Cairney was, upon a VAR check, shown a straight red card for a foul. Straight after, Ange introduced Gray and Bergvall for Maddison and Sarr. The former would have to be replaced by Lankshear in stoppage time.

However, Spurs could not take advantage. Ange's side had two shots after the goal in the 54th minute, and only one shot after the red card after 84 minutes - from a central defender. Spurs have got a lot of injured players, but that is not an excuse. How many of the Fulham players playing would get into the Spurs side? Simply not good enough, again.

So, there we have it. Spurs follow up a 4-0 win at the Etihad, with draws at home to Roma and Fulham. The worst thing is that literally everybody saw it coming. For other teams that may be "unpredictable", for Spurs it is the most predictable thing ever.
