The football world is rocked by the verdict of Man City's guilty charges. The Premier League officially announced yesterday that Man City were guilty of all charges. While Man City refute the claim, the announcement from the Premier League was quite damning.
The whole football world should be angry, including Tottenham. On a few occasions, Tottenham were denied a spot in the Champions League and had Man City not been bending the rules, it could have been different.
Kyle Walker's most successful spell was with Tottenham (not Man City)
Kyle Walker is one of Tottenham's best defenders of all time. It is a shame that his name will now be tarnished by the actions of Man City, but he is the only Tottenham player who left and signed directly for Man City during the time of their financial breaches.
Walker won everything there is to win at club level... or did he?

On paper, Walker is still listed as a winner of every club competition there is to win in England's top flight (except the Europa League or the Conference League... big whomp). However, everybody is already looking at the players' achievements with a huge, unavoidable asterisk.
We don't know what Man City's punishment will be - nobody does, yet. If it is to strip them of trophies, then Walker may lose bragging rights for them.
What Kyle Walker achieved means more to Tottenham than Man City
It was easy to win things at Man City, the same way it would be easy for a student who cheats to pass a test. It is far more impressive for the students who didn't cheat to pass the test.
Walker didn't win any honours at Tottenham, but he should look back on this time period as being the most fulfilling of his career. Tottenham have always played by the rules, and that shouldn't go unnoticed when the most successful team didn't play by the rules for close to a decade.
Walker spent a similar amount of time at Man City as he did with Tottenham. He played the prime stages of his career at Man City, which is obviously a shame, but it was with Tottenham that he truly made a name for himself.
Playing under Mauricio Pochettino, Walker helped Tottenham to turn the club around and put them back in a position to genuinely be considered one of the best teams in England.
Of course, that ship seems to have sailed now, but when we reflect on Walker's career, it mustn't be tainted by Man City's cheating - He already proved himself at a moral, rule-abiding club.
