Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has recently made a terrific claim about Tottenham transfer business, which fans will like...

After impressing in his first full season, Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is now regarded as one of the best in the league for his position.

Vicario is still young, so there are lessons still to be learned. However, the consensus is that he's the best option for the long-run between the sticks.

Playing his debut season last campaign, Vicario has successfully bedded himself into the Tottenham setup. He is the first name on the team-sheet and he understands what Ange Postecoglou requires.

So, Tottenham fans will be happy about a Tottenham transfer claim which Vicario recently made.

According to Yahoo Sport, Guglielmo Vicario pinpointed Dominic Solanke as the missing piece of the puzzle for Tottenham. The Italian goalkeeper is very chuffed the England striker completed his Tottenham transfer in the summer just gone.

In his own words, Vicario said: “We have that threat that he is there inside the box, so we can use him and play the ball in there. It is a different type of player, we missed a player of this quality so we’re happy with him.”

It is definitely true that Tottenham missed a player in Dominic Solanke's calibre last season. It was the first season without Harry Kane and Tottenham decided to wait a full season before signing a new striker.

So, the Solanke transfer felt like a long-time-coming. However, Tottenham fans are not bothered about this now. They only care that they have a striker they can rely on to find the right goal-scoring positions.

Solanke has had a slow start to his Tottenham life. However, he was injured at the start of the season so he missed a handful of games, which reflects in his lack of goals so far.

Across all competitions, Dominic Solanke has made seven starts. During this time, he's scored three goals and provided two assists. It's a respectable tally, but he'll hope to add to it as time progresses.
