Son Heung-min's decade-long spell at Tottenham could be coming to a close this summer, with Fabrizio Romano confirming reports of a potential move to Major League Soccer (MLS).
The South Korean superstar has blossomed into a Spurs icon, and has captained the club since August 2023. He would exit the club as our fourth all-time leading goalscorer, and our second-highest scorer in Premier League history.
His legendary status in N17 has long been secured, and there was no one more deserving of that night in Bilbao at the back end of May after multiple heartbreaks at the last.
However, after a couple of years of notable on-pitch decline, a parting of ways off the back of glory would be fitting for Son, with Spurs entering a new dawn off at the start of 2025/26.

The captain's future has been in doubt since the start of the summer window, with Thomas Frank replacing Ange Postecoglou as manager. While Son would likely benefit from the Dane's arrival, the veteran forward has a year left on his Spurs contract and has reportedly received lucrative proposals from the Middle East.
There was even talk of Jose Mourinho tapping up the 33-year-old for his Fenerbahce project, while various MLS clubs have also been linked. One of which, Los Angeles FC, have made an official approach. Romano has confirmed that talks between LAFC and Son are at an early stage, and Spurs will have the final say over any potential transfer.
For Son, that would mean a reunion with former Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Whether or not LAFC have the funds to pull of this move remains to be seen, but you can envisage this proposal enticing Sonny, who has been far from prominent in the pre-season content produced by the club this summer. There's a sense that this is his time to go.
However, any transfer will likely have to wait until we return from our tour of the Far East, with fixtures taking place in Hong Kong and the captain's homeland. From a commercial perspective, Son's presence on tour is a necessity, as cynical as that sounds.
The 33-year-old appeared in the second half of last weekend's friendly victory over Reading, taking the armband off Cristian Romero, but struggled to have a major influence down the left-hand side as Mohammed Kudus and Luka Vuskovic stole the show.
