An injury expert has provided a major update on the potential return of Son Heung-Min, just ahead of the match against West Ham on Saturday, 19 October.

Tottenham's star forward and captain, Son Heung-Min, is aiming for a return to action just in time for their crucial Premier League clash against West Ham United on 19 October.

The South Korean international has been sidelined since picking up a thigh injury during Tottenham’s Europa League opener against Qarabag, causing him to miss the last four games.

Injury specialist Dr. Rajpal Brar has provided a positive update on Son’s condition, suggesting that the 32-year-old could be available for selection if he successfully passes a late fitness test.

Dr. Brar believes the injury isn’t too serious, which means there’s hope for Son to be back in action after the international break. Speaking to Tottenham News, Dr. Brar said:

"Son has been ruled out with a thigh injury, but it does not appear to be a serious one. It sounds like he should be back after the international break."

"The key indicator will be his availability and response to team training during the break. He will need to pass a late fitness test, and his playing the full 90 minutes will depend on how he trains."

Club insider Paul O’Keefe has also hinted that Son could return to full training next week, just ahead of the West Ham fixture.

However, Tottenham’s medical staff are taking a cautious approach to ensure that Son’s return doesn’t lead to further complications.

While Son has been on the sidelines, Brennan Johnson has stepped up brilliantly, becoming a vital player for the team with six goals in six matches across all competitions.

Son's return to full fitness will be crucial as Spurs look to cement their place in the top four this season. Last season, he was a standout performer, contributing 17 goals and 10 assists in the league, underscoring his importance to Tottenham's attacking prowess.
