The Carabao Cup second round draw takes place on Monday 10 August at around 7:20pm. This is part of Sky Sports' Coverage of the Devon Derby at Home Park, Plymouth Argyle vs Exeter City. Presenter David Prutton will host the draw, with Jobi McAnuff and Jamie Mackie the men pulling the all important balls out of the hat.
Who could Tottenham draw in the Carabao Cup second round?
To reduce travel costs for both supporters and players, the first two rounds of the Carabao Cup are regionalised into Northern and Southern sections. Of course, the nightmare scenario is that Tottenham draw fierce rivals Chelsea, who else enter at this stage, following their miserable tenth place finish in the Premier League. Roberto De Zerbi would also surely rather avoid Brentford and Fulham; a home tie against a lower-league side would surely be ideal. When will the Carabao Cup second round be played?
The second round of the EFL Cup takes place on 25 and 26 August. This is in-between the Lilywhites' Premier League opener against Brentford and their first home match of the season, which is against Newcastle the following Saturday evening.

In the United Kingdom, Sky Sports' broadcast deal means they will show live coverage of all 93 Carabao Cup ties this season. Free-to-air terrestrial channel ITV also have the rights to a minimum of one match per round and, alongside Chelsea and Newcastle, Spurs are the big side in round two, so there's a very good chance that their match will be picked up by ITV.
