Tottenham are preparing for their third meeting with Bodø/Glimt and second visit to the Arctic Circle of 2025, only this time, the two sides are facing off in the Champions League.

Bodø’s remarkable rise has culminated in them establishing themselves as Norway's dominant force domestically and qualifying for Europe's premier club competition for the very first time. An impressive continental journey last season was ended by Ange Postecoglou's Lilywhites in the Europa League semi-finals, with Spurs eventually going on to lift the trophy and end their 17-year wait for a piece of major silverware.

Bodø thus holds a special place in many supporters’ hearts, but the hosts are out for revenge on Tuesday night.

Their performance in the second leg on home soil was tame, so they’ll be keen to give Spurs a proper taste of the Arctic Circle here, having been emboldened by their fightback against Slavia Prague in Gameweek 1 of the league phase.

Thomas Frank's side, meanwhile, edged past Villarreal two weeks ago and have remained unbeaten, without dazzling, since the September international break. Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wolves was a huge disappointment, though.

Here's our preview of Tuesday's Champions League fixture.

Bodø/Glimt team news

Daniel Bassi and Brede Moe have recently sustained injuries that could keep them out of Tuesday's Champions League clash. Knutsen is yet to rule the pair out, however.

If they aren't fit to feature, Bassi and Moe will join Ulrik Saltnes on the sidelines. The midfielder, who scored Bodø’s consolation in N17 at the start of May, has been absent through illness.

Overall, the team that's projected to line up on Tuesday won't look all that different from our meeting in the Arctic Circle five months ago.

Bodø/Glimt predicted lineup vs Tottenham: Lund; Sjovold, Bjortuft, Nielsen, Aleesami; Fet, Berg, Auklend; Blomberg, Hogh, Hauge.

Tottenham team news

Randal Kolo Muani's 'dead leg' has kept him out of action since our victory over Villarreal two weeks ago, and the loan signing hasn't yet returned to training, so he's expected to miss out again. Dominic Solanke also remains out of action.

With Mathys Tel absent from the league phase squad, Richarlison will lead Spurs' line again on Tuesday night.

Frank will reintroduce Pape Matar Sarr to his starting XI, but that will likely see Xavi Simons start out wide. Pedro Porro was on the bench at the weekend, but played most of the second half and will come in for Djed Spence in Bodø.

Kota Takai and Ben Davies were involved in Monday's training session.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Bodø/Glimt: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Bergvall; Kudus, Sarr, Xavi; Richarlison.

Bodø/Glimt vs Tottenham score prediction

Bodø were a major disappointment when we faced off back in May, but I'm expecting a tougher game for Frank's side on Tuesday. The temperatures have dropped with summer fading, and the hosts do have a distinct home advantage that several big European clubs, like Roma and Lazio, have succumbed to in the recent past.

Spurs remain functional under Frank, and that should serve them well in this competition. Bodø can perform with impressive slickness and cohesion at their best, so I expect us to be tested defensively, but there is a distinct quality gulf between the two sides.

Ultimately, it'll be that talent difference, and perhaps a set-piece that helps Spurs over the line in a tough environment.

Prediction: Bodø/Glimt 1-2 Tottenham
