Tottenham fans feel like the deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani is already done. In their heads, it is, but until official confirmation is made by the club, anything can happen.
Actually, that might be unfair. Tottenham fans are more hesitant to take transfer breakthroughs as gospel, given their poor luck with players backing out or deals being hijacked this summer.
However, as it stands, there doesn't seem to be any complication in the deal to bring Randal Kolo Muani to Hotspur Way.
Earlier today, Fabrizio Romano delivered his infamous "Here We Go," which, unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know means that it's a done deal 99% of the time.
So, why hasn't Tottenham said a word about the deal yet? Should Tottenham fans be concerned, with less than an hour remaining in the transfer window?
BBC Sport: Tottenham can announce Randal Kolo Muani whenever
The short answer is no, there's no reason to be concerned. Tottenham does not need to announce Randal Kolo Muani at anytime, it's not a formality bound by any legal time constraint. Whenever Tottenham deem it best, they can announce Muani.
This was a reminder sent by BBC Sport in their incredible live blog.
One update listed Randal Kolo Muani as one of the transfers we're yet to hear confirmation on, and another update spoke more about when clubs might announce players.
BBC Sport said: "Of course, as long as all the relevant paperwork is complete before the 19:00 BST deadline then there's no need to make an official announcement tonight. Some clubs may even decide to wait until the morning."
It would be the most Tottenham thing in the world to wait until the morning to officially announce a player, leaving Spurs fans on the edge of their seats all night. You'd hope not, but you'd also not be surprised if that were the case.
As we enter the final hour of the summer transfer window, at least in the Premier League, the last tweet (or X post, whatever it's called now) from Tottenham came an hour ago.
Admittedly, it was a ticket announcement for the Champions League this season, which does look pretty good in its own right.
So, let this be a reminder for Tottenham fans nervously refreshing the club's official feed: Even if it's not announced by the deadline, it doesn't mean the deal's fallen through.
