A 56 year old Londoner living in Bournemouth, Alan attended mostly home matches on a regular basis in the 70s, 80s and 90s and in recent years has been an avid watcher of games on TV. In 2011 a pituitary tumour burst, blinding his right eye. He had life-saving pioneering micro neuro surgery and made a remarkable partial recovery, despite suffering strokes.
