Tottenham Hotspur were finally able to get rid of a player they have been desperately trying to sell for a year, selling off Manor Solomon to relegated London rivals West Ham United. Although Solomon will only earn Spurs seven million pounds, that's still decent money, and that money, combined with his wages, can help Spurs chip away at a blockbuster attacking transfer fans have been begging for, such as Manchester City winger Savinho.
Now that Solomon is gone and Bryan Gil'd by Spurs, the Lilywhites still need to offload a few more unwanted players. Here are the three next to go.
CB Cristian Romero
Unlike Manor Solomon, Cristian Romero is actually a worthy Premier League player and is one of the top center backs in world football, particularly when he puts on that Argentina kit. However, Romero has been a disgrace of a captain and played like total garbage last season for Spurs, barely even trying when they were facing relegation. Even though they are getting lowballed, Spurs know they have to sell Romero, no matter the cost. He is a disease in that locker room.
CM Pape Matar Sarr
Pape Matar Sarr works hard and is a likable guy who has some quality, but Tottenham have moved past the need for him in midfield. He is probably the last guy on the depth chart right now, and Tottenham need to get whatever money they can out of him as they look to slowly advance their midfield for Roberto De Zerbi over the next five years. Sarr simply does not have the quality on the ball to play in a De Zerbi midfield.
GK Guglielmo Vicario
Like Solomon, Guglielmo Vicario is nowhere near the Tottenham Hotspur level, and fans are ecstatic ot see that Antonin Kinsky has finally usurped him as the No. 1. While Vicario was great in Serie A and pretty decent for Spurs to start his career, he had the worst save percentage of any Premier League starting goalkeeper last season with jealousy and attitude and ego problems, throwing teammates under the bus instead of being an accountable leader.
And worse than his statistically terrible shot stopping, Vicario was a giveaway machine and one of the top five worst goalkeepers in the world at dealing with crosses or basic handling skills even. Vicario needs to go as soon as possible, and Spurs are desperate for Juventus to finally take him back to the land of Calcio.
