Valencia is pushing hard in their pursuit of getting Bryan Gil on loan, a move that is dependent on confirmation of Adama Traore’s Tottenham arrival.
Tottenham supporters wait with bated breath over the expected Traore move. That bit of business, with only a week remaining, would be Spurs’ first of the transfer period . And the completion of it carries more weight than Traore’s bulging muscles. If Traore’s signature is secured, it could very well open the door for Gil’s temporary departure.
A few clubs, including Nice, Real Sociedad and the aforementioned Valencia, are desirous of landing Gil. In the past couple of days Valencia have risen to the status of forerunner, and if Spurs decide to give the go ahead, expect Gil to be on his way there.
Valencia have asked Tottenham for Bryan Gil on loan until June. Real Sociedad and OGC Nice are interested too but Valencia are pushing. ⚪️🇪🇸 #THFC

Tottenham have not yet decided whether to let Bryan go on loan or not. Adama Traoré deal could be key - talks progressing. pic.twitter.com/fIqnsuCtLD
It’s unlikely Antonio Conte has the luxury of parting ways with the young Spaniard without first bringing in some new blood, such is Spurs’ lack of squad depth. It would be like diving head first into the shallow end of your resort pool in Mexico. While tempting, nobody wants to deal with that headache on top of the existing raging hangover.
But if Spurs do what is expected and confirm Traore’s Hotspur Way arrival, Gil’s prospective loan deal becomes all the more likely.
