Tottenham reportedly close to first signing of transfer window

Wolves will reportedly accept Tottenham’s impending £20 million offer Adama Traore, numerous unverified reports suggest.
We’re still waiting on confirmation of Tottenham’s bid. So there are still a few ifs and and buts. But, and it’s a big but, there is enough media buzz from authoritative sources to point to this deal eventuating in the coming days.
Once Spurs submit the offer, which could come as early as today, we’ll wait with pins and needles for our main man Fabrizio Romano to confirm the final trimmings of the would-be transfer.
ESPN are now covering the potential transfer and the Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law believes adamantly that Spurs are closing in on securing their first transfer of the window.
It will cost Spurs between £20 and £22 million. There is a chance Matt Doherty will be part of the transfer, though there’s also enough evidence to infer he’ll be excluded.
Traore is intent on returning to Barcelona, his hometown where he was on the books for two years between 2013 and 2015, at some point in his career, but is equally keen on adapting his role under Antonio Conte’s stewardship.
Traore is a polarizing figure amongst supporters, with large sectors of Tottenham’s faithful unconvinced about the Spaniard’s ability to fine tune his final product.
The other half of Spurs land believe wholeheartedly in Conte’s ability to transform the 25-year-old into a dynamic, explosive right wingback, like he did with Victor Moses during Chelsea’s Premier League winning season of 2016-2017.
This situation is extremely fluid and is expected to develop quickly in the coming days. If things pan out the way most pundits believe it will, Traore will be in Spurs colours by the end of the week.
