The transfer window is now officially open and Tottenham Hotspur has three big questions to answer and only one is about transfers.

Unresolved business holding up Tottenham

At this point, it is almost becoming comical the way Tottenham has struggled to replace Jose Mourinho. Whatever Plan A or Plan B may have been conceived, they are clearly not working if they indeed ever existed.

Now with the rumors of big transfers – think Buendia to Villa – likely to become truths over the coming hours and days, just how far behind Tottenham sits will become clear.

As the window opens, player transfers are only passing thoughts in the minds of fans as there are much bigger questions to answer, which seems almost inconceivable given the rebuild needed. However, this is where we are, where the start of the season has hit us and Tottenham does not have a full team to field. Filling these major holes in the Tottenham Hotspur organization is the first question that needs to be addressed.
