Tottenham Hotspur hosts Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday in what the club and fans hope is a continued march to a Europa League trophy. We know GNK Dinamo Zagreb has a good defense and Tottenham Hotspur is coming in riding high of late behind a strong offense. In a match-up of a good offense against a sound defense, something has to give. Here we preview the match, considering the teams’ form and players to create a prediction.

Tottenham Need to Start Big

Originally drawn to play in Croatia first, due to a conflict in scheduling with Arsenal, Tottenham is hosting the first leg of the two-legged contest. After leaving Hungary with a three-goal advantage and four away goals, Tottenham’s match with Wolfsberger in the Round of 32 was over before the second leg.

Knowing Spurs have to still travel to Croatia for that second leg, Tottenham does not want to head into next week behind. We have seen with the Lilywhites over the last several weeks that being aggressive on offense and working to really play on the front foot is when Tottenham is at their best. With the idea of getting in front and not leaving it all to do on the road next week, Tottenham should play a strong line-up, which is needed because Dinamo is a good team that does not lose much as their form indicates.
