Predicting all four games for Tottenham this week.

Tottenham Hotspur have the odds stacked against them this week as they have to play four games in three competitions over an eight-day stretch.

Even the deepest of squads would struggle with so many games in such a short space of time. Unfortunately for Spurs, it will be incredibly difficult to win all four, especially as Chelsea and Manchester United are on the schedule.

So, how many wins will Spurs get this week? Here are my predictions:

Sunday: Tottenham vs. Newcastle – Premier League

Expect to see some rotation to the starting lineup from Jose Mourinho as Spurs only played three days ago, let’s not forget.

Harry Kane, Giovani Lo Celso, and Lucas Moura should be relatively fresh after only playing around 30 minutes each in the Europa League victory. Tanguy Ndombele could start on the bench despite impressing in the 90 minutes he played.

Spurs will field a strong team here and should get the victory over Newcastle.

Prediction: Spurs 2-0 Newcastle

Tuesday: Tottenham vs. Chelsea – EFL Cup

Now it gets challenging. Only two days later, Spurs are back in action against a rival.

Mourinho will need to be clever with how he rotates his players. But in an a game against Chelsea, they will need to put forward a strong starting 11 to win. Some of the players who miss out on Sunday — perhaps Ndombele and Dele Alli — could start here.

The problem here is that Chelsea will have an extra day of rest before this game and they also don’t play again until Sunday. Unfortunately, Frank Lampard’s team gets the win.

Prediction: Spurs 1-2 Chelsea

Thursday: Tottenham vs. Maccabi Haifa – Europa League

Expect more rotation here. Like last week, Mourinho could decide to rest Harry Kane with the hope of not needing to bring him off the bench. At home, even a reserve squad should be able to see Tottenham home here. However, it’s a must-win game. Lose, and the Europa League journey ends here.

Again, rotation will be key. Players who miss out on Tuesday night should get the start here. Ideally, Kane won’t have to play and can be rested for Sunday.

Prediction: Spurs 3-0 Maccabi Haifa

Sunday: Manchester United vs. Tottenham – Premier League

Another tough game awaits at the weekend. Maybe we’ll see Sergio Reguilon get his first start for Tottenham in this game. After such a tough week, Spurs can be forgiven if they’re a little below 100 percent in this game. It won’t be easy to put in their best performance here, especially against a talented opponent.

That said, Mourinho’s team takes away a point from Old Trafford. Spurs lose to Chelsea, but they advance to the Europa League group stage and pick up four points from a possible six in the Premier League. I’ll take it.

Prediction: Man United 1-1 Spurs
