The more the Danny Rose situation unravels at Tottenham Hotspur, the more likely the Englishman is set to depart for pastures anew.

According to Sky Sports, Bournemouth are showing keen interest in signing the 29-year-old who has fallen tragically down the pecking order at Tottenham. A recent spat with Jose Mourinho barely scratches the surface of Rose’s contentious relationship with certain parties at the club.

HQ has covered Rose’s turmoil at the club exhaustively over the years and expects the veteran wing back, who has featured in a miserly 3 of Spurs last 14 top flight matches, is understandably growing weary of taking a back seat to a number of colleagues, including teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

Rose recently was adamant about not wanting to leave the club he has devoted the last decade of his life to. But knowing he has little chance under Jose Mourinho of infiltrating the first team has altered Rose’s mindset, with the Englishman now reportedly amenable to a move away from Hotspur Way.

Newcastle and Watford are among the Premier League outfits interested in securing Rose’s signature. Rose has been woeful this season in most of his appearances, becoming a distinct Achilles heel for Spurs. He’s been miles off the pace, repeatedly coughing up possession in alarmingly unnecessary fashion.

The best outcome for all parties is seeing Rose move on to a club whose willing to deal with his erratic, unpredictable, irascible and controversial nature. There’s no questioning how much he’s contributed to the club over the years, but, akin to the Christian Eriksen situation, it’s time to end the relationship with Rose before it becomes any more toxic.
