Everyone associated with the club is keeping a level keel though, as tempering expectations goes hand in hand with being a partisan Lilywhite.
Tottenham are currently about £10 million short of Betis’ financial expectations, and Levy will have to dust off his wallet to get this crucial transfer finalized. He’s a puritan whose foot skills would immeasurably benefit Tottenham, especially with Christian Eriksen expected to depart for pastures anew.
