Spurs spies had their eyes fixated on the weekend watching Lazio’s deadly duo of  Sergey Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The duo have been lighting up Serie A this season with some outstanding performances which have led Lazio to within touching distance of a coveted place in the Champions League next season.

According to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham scouts have been more than impressed with what they saw from the Lazio duo, and the club is now willing to break the bank this summer with an audacious £100million raid for the pair.

If the deal is to take place, however, it will largely depend on Spurs offloading a significant amount of their current squad, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to push his team to the next level.

The likes of Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose, Mousa Dembele, Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama are all players reportedly in the firing line in a huge summer shake-up at Spurs.

The money from these sales will be used to freshen up the current squad, with Savic and Immobile being top of Pochettino’s wish-list.

Capturing the signatures of the Lazio duo would be a massive coup for Tottenham, with the pair scoring a combined 54 goals between them so far this campaign.

Immobile would be seen as an added outlet for goals to lift some pressure off the shoulders of Harry Kane, or even a potential partner in crime for the Premier League star.

On the other hand, 23-year-old Milinkovic-Savic is seen as Mauricio Pochettino’s ideal midfielder. The Serbian is hugely talented and can attack just as well as he can defend.
