A final assessment was made today on the ankle injury Harry Kane sustained against Bournemouth this past Sunday afternoon.

It’s been the talk of the town in recent days, with Spurs and England fans alike hoping for the best outcome for what seemed like a lengthy injury for the worshipped forward.

Kane has now spoken out about the extent of his injury and his willingness to get back to playing the game he loves, sooner rather than later, in a heartfelt message to fans.

The Tottenham talisman took to his official Twitter account to update Spurs and England supporters about his current situation.

He stated: “Disappointing to be out until next month but injuries are part of the game. Will do everything I can to get back out there asap.”

This will come as a relief to Spurs and England fans who were fearing the worst for the prolific striker.

Nevertheless, Kane will still be missing some vital games for Tottenham in the final stretch of the Premier League season, including this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final clash against Swansea and a crucial top-four clash against rivals Chelsea.

More from EPL News

Despite losing their star-striker, it is not all doom and gloom for Spurs, who experienced this very same heartache last season when Kane missed eight games due to a similar injury, during which Pochettino’s men went unbeaten.

Kane is expected to return to full training the first week of April, just missing the clash with Chelsea and will likely return to action a week later for a Premier League fixture against Stoke City.

Kane has been Tottenham’s stand-out performer so far this season, scoring 24 times in 29 appearances for the Lilly whites and his hunt for a third consecutive Premier League Golden Boot may now be out of the question.

So we now finally have some much-needed clarity over Kanes injury situation, with an international break on the horizon hopefully, rehabilitation can be heightened for Kane during that time, and he can potentially return sooner than planned – fingers crossed – but at least we know he’ll be fit for the World Cup – phew.
