Tottenham’s August wasn’t good, how will they do until October?

After surviving the first international break of the new campaign, a week where the pause in action leaves you craving for more Premier League football, it’s great to say that the 2015-2016 season carries on. That is until October 5th (God help us).

Nevertheless, it would be wrong of me to say that Mauricio Pochettino’s side desperately needed the aforementioned “bye” week.

A very productive week for some it was. Harry Kane put an end to his goal-scoring drought, while Tottenham’s last signing of the summer window, Heung-Min Son, scored a hat trick for South Korea. Even the out of favor winger Érik Lamela thrived in his own way. Starting in an advanced central midfield role, as he helped Argentina romp on there neighbors to the north, Bolivia, 7-0.

Say what you will about the 23-year-old Argentinian, but all things considered, I still believe he has a lot to offer. As Roberto Soldado’s name continued to be rang out in melody at White Hart Lane, it fathoms me that Lamela continues to receive less than average support from the majority of the followers of Tottenham. Playing end to end on the right flank, his effort seemingly goes unnoticed. As did his team leading eight assists, last year.

With seven competitions in 22 days, a lot will be said about the club and there prospects, for both good and bad.
