Wolves are the one team Richarlison always torches — here we go again

Richarlison has an impeccable record against Wolves, and he's certainly one to watch as Tottenham hosts Wolves in the Premier League this weekend.

On Saturday, Thomas Frank coaches his sixth Premier League match in charge of Tottenham. All things considered, it's pretty remarkable what he's achieved with the team already.

Squad unity is a difficult thing to achieve, and it doesn't happen overnight. This is especially the case when you're a fresh face coming in just after a beloved manager leaves.

However, it took no time at all for Thomas Frank to win over his new squad. And they're playing like they have something to believe in, too.

This weekend, it's Wolves at home. Wolves have lost their opening five games in the league, so all the signs are pointing towards a Tottenham win.

Obviously, this is Thomas Frank's first "Spursy" test. Tottenham has been given many certified-win cards in the past, only to lose. Thomas Frank needs to flip that narrative on its head this weekend.

One wildcard that Tottenham has at its disposal is Richarlison. Obviously, the Brazilian is a talented and multifaceted attacker in his own right, but he'll particularly be licking his lips before this game even kicks off.

Richarlison has scored more goals against Wolves than any other team in his career (6, joint with Leicester). This is despite Richarlison picking up only four wins out of 12 appearances against Wolves.

It is up in the air about whether or not Richarlison will start this game, with Dominic Solanke in line to return from injury. With both players offering different routes, there is also every chance they could start together.

Despite Richarlison's obvious numbers, he needs players around him who can hold up the ball better and find opportunities for him and his wingers. This is where Solanke would get the best out of him.

Richarlison has started the season well in terms of numbers, with three Premier League goals and one assist in five appearances. He's become a trustworthy attacker under Thomas Frank and certainly put in a good word for himself at the start of this season.

Still, much is left to be desired from Richarlison. Goals are obviously important, but Spurs fans would like to see some more assured performances from Richy to be completely sold.

Either way, he's best placed out of anyone in this Spurs team to bag a goal or two against Wolves.
