Reports of Tottenham's interest in Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani are believed to be "wide of the mark", although Son Heung-min's impending departure could force the club to sign another attacker this summer.

Son announced ahead of the 1-1 draw with Newcastle in Seoul that he intends to depart Spurs following a decade of majestic service, and the Korean icon was given a lovely send-off in his homeland on Sunday.

Tottenham aren't exactly shy of options in attack and did complete the permanent signing of Mathys Tel at the start of the transfer window. And while Son's exit doesn't come as a major surprise, it may force the club to reconsider their plans over the next month.

Among the names linked with a move to north London is Kolo Muani, who Ange Postecoglou tried to bring to the club in the winter, but the French international instead opted to join Juventus on loan.

PSG are keen to get Kolo Muani off their books permanently this summer, after the versatile forward scored eight times in 16 Serie A appearances during the second half of last season. Sky Sports Italia (via Forza Juventus on X), understand that the European champions, who'll soon face off against Spurs in the UEFA Super Cup, want €60m for his signature.

They're also open to accepting a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Juve remain keen on retaining the 26-year-old, but will likely have to sell before they think about making a splash.

Thus, there may be an opportunity for Spurs to pursue, with The Times reporting that we've revived our interest after failing to snap him up in January. Manchester United and Newcastle may also be in for him.

Kolo Muani is the flexible forward Thomas Frank has gotten the best out of in the past, with the French international capable of leading the line and occupying both flanks. He's an imposing physical presence who functions as a multi-faceted outlet, excelling as a dribbler in transition.

His potential to boom under Frank renders this possibility enticing, but the trusty Alasdair Gold has already tempered expectations. The Football London reporter (via The Spurs Watch on X) understands the latest links with Kolo Muani are "wide of the mark".

That may well be true, but I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs do make a move for Kolo Muani, given PSG’s willingness to negotiate an initial loan deal. His wages are pretty high but not obscene (just over £150,000-a-week, per Capology), and, of course, the French club—hardly strapped for cash—could cover part of Kolo Muani's salary if Luis Enrique is convinced he isn't a part of his plans.

In truth, I think the player wants Juventus, but there's work for the Italian giants to do to facilitate a deal.
