Tottenham are back in Premier League action on Saturday evening after the September international break, and a bitty London derby is on the horizon against West Ham.
This typically feisty encounter is set to be turned up a notch off the back of Mohammed Kudus' switch in the summer, as he became the first person since Scott Parker in 2011 to join Spurs from the Hammers.
Kudus has made a bright start to life in north London, but he was unable to stop Thomas Frank suffering his first league defeat as Spurs boss before the break. Bournemouth were dominant in their 1-0 win in N17, but the Lilywhites have since been boosted by a couple of new additions that should help alleviate the issues that were on display against the Cherries.
West Ham's 2025/26 campaign started off with three consecutive defeats in all competitions, and few held out hope when they visited the City Ground two weeks ago. However, an impressive late show, during which they scored three times, has raised spirits in east London.
Their late summer purchases should aid Graham Potter's distinct midfield problem, and suddenly, there's a sense of excitement surrounding this West Ham team ahead of Spurs' visit.
Here's our preview of Saturday's Premier League clash.

West Ham team news
Striker Niclas Fullkrug has suffered another injury setback, with the German international poised to be out for up to a month with a calf strain. He joins George Earthy and Luis Guilherme on the sidelines.
West Ham were able to retain Lucas Paquetá in the summer window, and he'll start from a No. 10 position on Saturday, while new arrival Mateus Fernandes has immediately improved the Hammers' engine room.
Callum Wilson will start up top in Fullkrug's absence, with Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen operating out wide.
West Ham predicted lineup vs Tottenham: Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Diouf; Fernandes, Soucek; Bowen, Paqueta, Summerville; Wilson
Tottenham team news
The Tottenham squad returned from the international break unscathed, and Frank should hand debuts to Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani on Saturday. Kudus is a sure bet to line up against his former club.
Radu Drăgușin is edging closer to making his comeback from a long-term knee injury, while Destiny Udogie was back in action before the international break.
Questions remains over Dominic Solanke's status for the trip to the London Stadium, with Richarlison starting the first three Premier League games of Frank's tenure.
Tottenham predicted lineup vs West Ham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Sarr; Kudus, Simons, Odobert; Richarlison.
West Ham vs Tottenham score prediction
The last two outings at the London Stadium have been drab 1-1 draws. I'm expecting Saturday's bout to certainly have an edge, not just because of Kudus.
West Ham's performance at Forest before the break has seen their fan base emerge from the doldrums, and the hosts will be confident of securing a victory over their bitterest rivals here.
Spurs' flaws came to the fore against Bournemouth, but Frank crucially now has the players at his disposal to evolve his team into a more potent force in possession. The Dane doesn't have a great record against Potter, but I'm still not convinced by this Hammers team despite the newfound confidence they would've gained from their first victory of the season.
Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Tottenham
