Tottenham Hotspur need some big attacking signings to shake up a squad that only had one player with double digit goals last season and very little in the form of players who could make things happen out wide off the dribble, especially after Mohammed Kudus went down with a season ending injury.

Spurs dream signing right now appears to be Manchester City winger Savinho, whom the Lilywhites were highly interested in last summer. At that time, Daniel Levy and the club did not submit an offer good enough to get Man City to rethink their status of holding onto the talented U23 forward, but now that a new regime is in charge of Man City, Spurs have a real opening to sign the Brazilian for cheaper than he would last year.

In his latest update to the Tottenham faithful, breakout Spurs insider @szyexcl reports that not only have Tottenham sent their formal bid to Manchester City for the star winger, but Spurs are also said to be "very close" to confirming the 22 year old left winger as their next signing.

Savinho may be on his way to Spurs

With his sweet left foot and dazzling skills on the ball, Savinho has all the tools to become one of the best wingers in the Premier League. He was already a La Liga Player of the Season candidate in 2023/24 when underdogs Girona were challenging Real Madrid, the Champions of Europe that campaign, during the first half of the season, and he has had bright moments for Man City. Even though he only started seven Premier League games in 2025/26, Savinho made a big impact in the Champions League, including against Real Madrid when the Citizens were eliminated.

While Savinho does not bring the bags of goals and assists Tottenham are looking for, he brings that element of surprise and traditional width as a left footer on the left hand side that Spurs need to help Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons out.

If Tottenham are indeed on the verge of confirming the Brazilian international as their next attacking signing, that is a huge dream get off the board and a big statement from Johan Lange, Vinai Venkatesham, and the new Spurs leadership team that they are willing and able to sign top players from other Premier League Big SIx clubs. Spurs fans will wait with baited breath to see if the Lilywhites can get this blockbuster signing over the line.
