Tottenham Hotspur legend Harry Kane is a player that fans have been dreaming of reuniting with, and last summer, there were rumblings of him potentially coming back to N17 to help make them better and save their attacking situation.

It was alway a pipe dream, though, and every fan knew it was, as Kane made it clear he was happy at Bayern Munich, where he has been breaking records and winning real silverware. And right now, he is actually still the favorite to win the Ballon d'Or, which was unthinkable back at Tottenham, mostly beacuse, for some reason, people simply did not believe he was one of the world's best until he moved to Bayern.

Despite rumblings of a previous release clause and interest from abroad in the player with an expiring contract, there is more news that points towards Kane staying with Bayern for a few more years, as the 32 year old's prime does not look for one second like it is ending.

Harry Kane is going nowhere

According to a report from Ben Jacobs and Sam Cohen of Give Me Sport, Harry Kane is set to sign his new contract with Bayern Munich. The legendary English national team striker will resume talks this summer after Bayern and the elite No. 9 already made positive progress during the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Barcelona did show interest as did Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, who just nabbed former Premier League winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United, but Bayern Munich have made it clear to both clubs that they are keeping the Tottenham Hotspur legend.

Kane staying at Bayern for a few more years is just about the least surprising thing, and for the rest of the world, the story will be just how long he signs a contract extensinon for and how much in wages he will make. It is obvious Kane is going to be their highest paid player, and he has earned it. Plus, extending Kane has become even more important with Michael Olise teased by Kylian Mbappe recruiting him to Real Madrid - and their president Florentino Perez obsessed with signing him.

Tottenham fans have been obsessed, too, but the board not so much. And Kane is happy to move on from that chapter, though, later on after this new contract with Bayern were to run down, perhaps he would come back. Until then, Spurs have to settle their striker situation for themselves without Harry.
