Throughout this season, Tottenham has been fuelled by a wave of new talent, breathing life and promise into the team as they seek improvement and consistency.

Currently sitting in tenth place in the Premier League, Tottenham remains determined to rise through the ranks by making strategic decisions and investments.

One standout example of this youth-driven vision is Mikey Moore. A product of Tottenham’s youth academy, the 17-year-old forward has recently started his professional journey with the first team in impressive style.

Despite his young age, Moore is already making his mark, with 20 goals and 15 assists in just 33 appearances across youth levels.

Having turned 17 this August, Moore has begun to see opportunities with the senior squad. Last season, he made 4 brief Premier League appearances, and this season, he has already logged 288 minutes across matches in all competitions.

While he has yet to register a goal or an assist for the first team, his skills and maturity have captured the admiration of fans, who eagerly await his continued progress on the pitch.

Interestingly, following Tottenham’s Europa League match against AZ Alkmaar, teammate James Maddison made waves by comparing Moore to none other than Brazilian star Neymar Jr.

The comparison is a testament to the high regard in which his teammates hold him and the potential they see.

Keeping his feet on the ground

In a recent interview, Moore shared his thoughts on his development and future aspirations. According to Football London, he said: "I know I have a lot more to show. Some of my performances have been okay, but I still have a lot more to give to help the team. I have that belief in myself to be able to help in any game."

Moore is particularly focused on scoring his first goal with the first team but is patient and remains excited about what lies ahead this season.

Most importantly, Moore appears well aware of the journey ahead and remains grounded in his work ethic, understanding he’s still far from his peak.

As he put it, "When you play football, people don’t really get to see the human side of you, but you always want to be a nice person and stay grounded."
