GK Guglielmo Vicario
Some weak distribution again. Should have saved Bowen’s goal. Would have rated lower, but did make an excellent save near the end from Bowen via a Ward-Prowse free kick to keep the score at 1-1. Rating: 6
RB Archie Gray
In all the many positions Archie Gray has played this season, his best performances have come at right back. Even if midfield does end up being his regular position, he played a lot better today than in recent weeks. Mostly solid and without drama, which is good enough today. Rating: 7
LB Djed Spence
Has generally been the bright point of a rough season. Plays well at left back even though he does noticeably still favor his right foot. This was particularly apparent when in situations to cross. Some good overlapping runs for Tel. Rating: 7
CB Kevin Danso
Has mostly been solid in his games for Spurs. Showed some good strength today, and a real willingness to put himself in positions to tackle and block. Was not effective bringing the ball out from the back, and the team struggled in general with this compared to our last Europa game, but defensively, he was effective and needed today. Rating: 8
CB Ben Davies
Had a very tough first half. Got an early yellow, was lucky not to give away a penalty for a handball, lost Bowen for the goal and then did not get back quick enough to tackle. Improved in the second half but struggled today for the most part. Rating: 5
CM Pape Matar Sarr / Yves Bissouma / Dejan Kulusevski
All 3 brought a very similar performance. That being non-descript. Brought energy but the midfield struggled to maintain possession and seemed very easy to play through. Seemed to float in and out of the game. Midfield will be critical in Norway vs Bodo/Glimt, and we will need more. Ratings: 5
RW Wilson Odobert
Scored the goal to give us the (probably undeserved) lead, a simple finish but it was good to see our winger in that position to receive the ball. Was very positive throughout, always looking for the ball and playing on the front foot. Rating: 7
CF Richarlison
Found it difficult to get free from Max Kilman. The few opportunities that came his way resulted in poor finishes, either with a weak shot or well over the bar. Put in a good effort before being subbed, but was much more effective vs Bodo/Glimt. Hopefully will show more again if he plays in the second leg. Rating: 5
LW Mathys Tel
All attacks seemed to go down the left in the first half. Pressed well for the goal. Chased back more than in recent games, which was a help as Aaron Wan-Bissaka caused a few problems. Showed good pace and movement a few times in the second half for some half chances. Rating: 7
Substitution: Mikey Moore
Subbed on for Richarlison. Has missed a lot of games but hope to see more appearances next season. Clearly has a lot of potential, looked lively but wasn't really able to get into the game. Great to see him back. Rating: 5
