In only two official minutes of action, Luca Williams-Barnett made sure the entire Premier League took notice with a jaw dropping display of athleticism, explosiveness, and skill on the ball. The Tottenahm Hotspur youngster carved up the Crystal Palace defense on the pitch with every touch, and he really should have had an assist with his spellbinding run down the left, producing a scrumptious final ball to Mohammed Kudus who somehow left an open net begging.

The performance was nothing less than what Tottenham die hards have come to expect from the teenage sensation, as LWB was arguably the biggest standout of the preseason friendly matches this year. And looking ahead at the upcoming Premier League opponent, Leeds United, Williams-Barnett is ripe for another big game off the bench.

It's going to be too much for Roberto De Zerbi to start Williams-Barnett after finally giving him his first licks of action to end the month of October, but with more performances like this off the bench for Spurs, LWB shouldn't be too far away from pushing for starts. His ambipedal nature and ability to play in the midfield or on either wing certainly help his case in a grueling season.

Luca Williams-Barnett is too hot for Leeds to handle

Leeds United are a very defense team that like to play compact, but once the legs get a little more weary from cashing around a Tottenham Hotspur side that figures to be beyond dominant in possession again this weekend, Luca Williams-Barnett can come right in and run them ragged.

While the Peacocks have a great back three, led by inspired summer sigining Tarik Muharemovic, they don't have nearly as much talent out wide in terms of the wing backs. And Williams-Barnett can really torment them once they get tired of facing Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus for a good 70 minutes. The young man can come right in and pick up where he left off against Crystal Palace to help either change the game for Spurs or put the game beyond all doubt before the November international break.

In addition to being a superstar of the future for Tottenham, Williams-Barnett is already talented enough to be a game breaker off the bench here and now and help Spurs win some games. Leeds are a tough nut to crack with a top three Premier League defense, but they are also vulnerable to someone out wide like LWB who can progress the ball in a hurry. He could be especially threatening as a sub for Tel to let Andy Robertson sit back and pick out crosses.
