Tottenham return to action on Saturday when they face Crystal Palace at home. Spurs have now won each of their last two games, and there has been a lift around the club as a result.

But they will know they still have plenty of work to do as they prepare to face a Palace side that picked up a much-needed win of its own in the Carabao Cup during the week amid a disappointing start to the league season.

Here we take a look at the injury news surrounding both teams ahead of this one.

Chadi Riad - Out

Riad is out long term with another knee injury. The defender has had a torrid time of things.

Quinten Timber - Out

Timber is going to be out until after the break with a knee issue.

Takehiro Tomiyasu - Out

Tomiyasu is out until after the break, with Pierre Sage confirming: "Tomiyasu is out until the next international break because he has another injury."

Jorgen Strand Larsen - Doubt

Sage said this week: "We will see on Wednesday for Strand Larsen, because he received, as you saw, a tackle [vs Besiktas], and his ankle twisted."

Ismaila Sarr - Doubt

Sage said this week: "We tried to give him some minutes on Thursday, but he was really in pain with his groin again. That’s why we chose to let him out and give him some treatment, because we need him at 100 per cent."

Xavi SImons - Out

Simons is out until around February time as he recovers from his ACL rupture.

Wilson Odobert - Out

Odobert is also recovering from an ACl rupture. He is expected back earlier than Simons but not until the new year.

Savio - Out

Savio looks as though he will be out until after the international break.

Rodrigo Bentancur - Out (Suspended)

Bentancur continues to serve his suspension and will be back next week.

Lucas Bergvall - Out

Bergvall has been dealing with a knee issue and will not be back until after this game.

Desiny Udogie - Doubt

Udogie has a chance of returning from his knee issue here.

Tosin Adarabioyo - Doubt

Tosin is also expected to have a chance of returning for this one.

James Maddison - Doubt

De Zerbi doubted whether the Maddison issue was serious, but we have not been given an update.

Mykhailo Mudryk - Doubt

Mudryk is due back from his ankle issue, but we will have to get an update from De Zerbi.
